New Everyday

My heart has been heavy for the last few days for various reasons and that combined with my incredible ability to overanalyze things has been a bad combo.  Thankfully, tonight I can feel my heart becoming lighter and can feel myself coming out of my funk I’ve been in. 

Thank you God for people who you allow to speak into my life, for my small group, for Your Word that has been of comfort to me, for your mercies being new everyday, for being strong when I am weak, and for lifting a burden off of me that I unknowingly had been carrying for a while.  Thank you for renewed joy and passion, more specifically, passion that has a direction – something specific attached to it.  Thank you for a church that seeks to take care of it’s people.  Thank you for music that reaches my heart and soul when I need it.  Thank you for drives home when I can let it all out.  Thank you for wrestling with me and showing me where I need to be challenged and changed.  Thank you.

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. – 2 Corinthians 12:10
