Wow. It’s been a busy week! Last couple of workdays, open house at school, first 3 days of school, and a big weekend at church! It’s all gone very well. It was so exciting seeing the kids return, see them excited to be back and excited to be back in their classes. That always makes the teacher’s job so much easier. I’m getting used to having the Promethean board and I’m excited about the possibilities that will offer. It looks to be a good year.
Church was awesome this weekend. They did one of the coolest creative elements I’ve ever seen. The videos for the series “The Invitation” (based on the parable of The Great Banquet in Luke 14) were phenomenal. I liked how Pastor Steven says one reason we should pursue excellence each Sunday for Christ is to accomplish what the man in the parable did – he made sure everything was done with the highest preparation and all that was left was to invite those out on the streets. “Come for everything is ready and prepared.” Such an important truth. We tried some new things in Quest today and everything was just awesome. One of the greatest Sundays I can think of in Quest. Now, about that creative element. I hope they post a video of it online. It was so cool. Moving background and treadmills. I would have been flat on my face.
Here’s the video for The Invitation.
And as for that last song off the new Elevation Worship cd that’s been sticking with me… There’s a video at the bottom of Mack singing it at one worship experience.
You Are Enough
My highest joy
love of my heart
you are
all that’s good
flows from Your mercy
to us
Here’s my heart
make it Yours
I believe
If I lose it all
You’re enough
If I gain the world
You’re enough
My joy is complete
Jesus You are enough for me
Jesus You are enough for me
Empty we came
You gave Your grace
to us
When riches fade
still You remain
our God
Here’s my heart
make it Yours
I believe
If I lose it all
You’re enough
If I gain the world
You’re enough
My joy is complete
Jesus You are enough for me
Jesus You are enough for me
You can take my life
and all I have
I will sing Your worth
with all I am
(the hope I’ve found)
If I lose it all
You’re enough
If I gain the world
You’re enough
My joy is complete
Jesus You are enough for me
Jesus You are enough for me
You’re all I need
You’re everything
Jesus You are enough for me
Loved the Invitation clips – gives a whole new way to look at what we are called to do.
